Baby Jake's Taggy Quilt.

I made this yesterday morning. It only took a couple of hours and I'm jolly pleased with it! The front is a patchwork made from some yummy fabric that my friends Debra and Jo from Texas sent.
The back is red fleece and I appliqued a nice little 'J' on it. I have inserted lots of ribbons round the edge seams to serve as little taggies.

Here's a close-up of the applique.

I sent it Special Delivery, so Jakey should be receiving it tomorrow morning. I am safe to put this on the blog tonight (before they receive the parcel) as my wicked brother never reads my blog because it's girlie nonsense!

Oh that is really lovely. So nice and bright! I think we just have too much talent in one family.

You can jolly tell 'im from me that woodworking is not 'girlie' ;O)

That's lovely Sindie. How big is it? I hope he won't catch his little fingers on the ribbon loops though

But the ribbon loops are exactly for that Leeta! Jo has one and he safely sticks his little fingers in the loops all the time.

That is sooo professional Sindie! It is absolutely gorgeous!! The colours and patterns are fantastic. If it only took a couple of hours, why don't you advertise them on Ebay with the babies initial? You could get quite a lot for them:0) A bit of pocket money:0)

No way! You know I can't get on with commissions.

Sindie that is better than the shop brought ones. Leeta has a couple and they are not as nice as your one! Go on make and sell them. I would be your first customer for Jo and Pips baby. Just get on and make them to sell. Tina Spain

Making anything to sell takes all the enjoyment out of it though.
